About the Social Committee
The BMES Social Committee works to support and promote a sense of community between our members and encourage them to seek social enrichment through various formal and informal events. Our committee members organize and coordinate a variety of great activities ranging from intramurals to semester-long competitions and general social outings open to all BMES members!
BMES Buddies (Mentorship Program)
The UIUC BMES chapter has a large commitment to mentorship programs. Our program connects our upperclassmen with underclassmen in order to facilitate learning and teamwork. By building these connections, our underclassmen are equipped with the skills needed to make a positive impact within the biomedical community. Our execution of this idea was recognized at the National BMES Conference with the 2016 Outstanding Mentoring Program Award.
